Rhian Kalista Demidova posting in Home of the Hogwarts Express House Slytherin
Alright folks!

We're closing in on another school year. Right now, character generation is closed. But I think we really need to do some recruiting to boost the numbers of Slytherin.

Additionally, we need to come up with some ideas for plots and such that make us more of a cohesive house. Something to rally around. Something to separate us from the other houses, and allow us to play Slytherins as they should be played.

We also need people to try out for Quidditch. Need to build the team up. We will be having more team practices this year, I think, rather than just relying on random practices to get our points.

So lets start a dialogue. Thoughts??

The thing about Slytherin students in the books is that you rarely ever see them alone, they work together as a team. IC conflict with the other houses is what we need to fuel that, without letting it become an OOC conflict as well. Perhaps a running series of pranks where the houses try to one-up each other? Thematically we ought to be picking on Gryffindor, but with their active player census, Hufflepuff might be a more productive avenue.

That might be a good idea. It'd be really great if we could somehow get into all the dorms, and set up some kind of glitter bomb to explode on them the first night when they walk in after the Opening Feast.

Exactly. They like glitter. None of the other houses do. So when they walk in, and get showered with glitter.....who do you think will be blamed for it? :)

I like the way you think. Of course that means we'll have to glitter-bomb ourselves as well.

Managing to actually get into another House would be virtually impossible, let alone managing it undetected, before the other students even know the password themselves. Afterwards, I suppose a careless student might let a password slip, but before, when only the Prefects know?

I wonder where we could find a sympathetic and cooperative prefect.

3 of them? Even 1 would be likely to backfire. What sort of Prefect would conspire to help Slytherin prank their own House? If they did agree, it would probably be with the plan of turning us in for it.

That does seem to be an insurmountable obstacle. Back to the drawing board.
